Mental Health Parity
Mental health parity refers to providing insurance coverage for mental health and substance abuse care that is equivalent to coverage for general health care. RAND work has evaluated multiple aspects of mental health insurance design and managed care, including how it affects use of behavioral health services and the quality of behavioral health care.
